In the year 1952 the cooperation VSE is founded as a duck-integration for producing Pekin duck meat. When the IJsselmeer Dam (Afsluitdijk) was built, duck farming replaced fishing as an important source of income for the people from Harderwijk and surroundings. This resulted in the production and selling of the present product: the pekin duck and all kind of parts of the duck.
